Reception staff was very nice. Hotel is located in a decently busy area so its very easy to find something to eat, go to convenience store across the block, etc. Reception staff gave me a nice recommendation for dinner based on what I felt like eating.I stayed at this hotel because of my tight travel plans, so this was convenient to its location to Taoyuan HSR station and to the airport. Taking a cab from the HSR station to the hotel was 210 NTD but then taking a car (not quite a cab, possibly a driver affiliated to the hotel) to the airport was 500 NTD. The difference in distance doesnt quite warrant such a steep difference in price, but my ride to the airport was at 4:30 in the morning, and airport rides are generally some sort of flat fee like that. The room was clean. It included hot drinking water and tea out of spigots in the wall! Also gave you indoor slippers. It had no smoking signs but it smelled a bit like cigarettes and there was an ashtray? I fixed that myself with a febreeze/laundry spray i had on me. Bath(tub) was large and fun, I guess. There are no windows. I usually enjoy a window, but since I expected to be up before the sun, it did not matter to me this time.Overall the room and my experience staying here was pretty basic but I did not lack for anything. I paid like $30 USD for my stay here, compared to ~$20 a night in a shared dorm hostel, or $60 for a private room in a typical hotel/private hostel room.
Generally, it was quite confortable in the room, although I realized that the King-sized/Queen-sized bed that was allocated to me was actually made up of two single beds being joint together (I didnt open up the sheets to see, but I am quite sure about it). The room was big and spacious, but if one forgets to turn on the ventilators (which is not intuitive, considering that you dont have to do that for other hotels), the room would have a certain musky scent which also made some of my things smell. In terms of location, the hotel is conveniently located near a park, the shopping areas (including nearby wedding shops) in Zhongli, and is about a 5-10 minute walk from the train and bus stations. Overall, I would rate the experience as average, but if you are in for a budget stay, this is probably a place to consider.
The staff is very friendly, the property is centrally located and has all amenities necessary. However the room is not very clean at all, the floors need to be cleaned and the sheets changed.
Friendly staff, property was clean, only thing is there is no elevator.
Under renovation...no lift also..
